About Amir Awad, M.D.
Dr. Amir Awad is a board-certified gastroenterologist practicing in the Tampa Bay Area. He is a graduate of the University of Alexandria Medical School in 1991. He completed his training in both internal medicine and gastroenterology at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York City. He received additional specialty fellowship training in Endoscopic ultrasound and ERCP at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York. Dr. Awad Started the endoscopic ultrasound program in Bronx Lebanon Hospital in 2006. After relocating to Tampa in 2009, Dr. Awad introduced this technology to Town and Country Hospital. Dr. Awad lives with his wife and three children. He enjoys fishing with his family and sponsors the American Cancer Society's fight against colon cancer.
