About Alexander Davis, D.O.
Dr. Alexander Davis, D.O., is a board-certified gastroenterologist who joined Gastro Florida in August 2025. He completed his Gastroenterology Fellowship at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital, where he served as Chief Fellow. Prior to fellowship, he trained in internal medicine at the Regional Medical Center of Bayonet Point and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Davis has contributed to the advancement of the field through multiple publications and presentations, including work in the HCA Healthcare Journal of Medicine, Cureus, and the American College of Gastroenterology Annual Scientific Meeting. His research interests have included gastrointestinal case studies, infectious disease interactions, and gender distribution trends in NIH gastroenterology grant funding.
In addition to his clinical training, Dr. Davis has served as a Ringside Physician for the Florida Athletic Commission, providing care during professional combat sports events. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Gastroenterology, American Medical Association, and American College of Physicians.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Davis enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, cooking, and football. With his strong academic foundation, leadership experience, and patient-centered approach, Dr. Davis is dedicated to delivering high-quality gastroenterology care to the community.
