Dr. DeVicente was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida as a fifth generation resident. After completing two undergraduate degrees from the University of Florida (Zoology and Spanish), he later received his MD degree from the same institution where he was inducted into the Golden Humanism Honor Society (Chapman Chapter) which honors medical students “who demonstrate exemplary behavior that promotes humanism and professionalism in the practice of Medicine.” Dr. DeVicente completed his Internal Medicine training at the Medical University of South Carolina and later continued with a fellowship in Gastroenterology where he specialized in Endoscopic Ultrasound. He performed externships at 2 Hospitals in Valencia, Spain (El Hospital Clinico de La Fe and El Hospital Clinico de La Facultad de Medicina) and is fluent in Spanish. Dr. DeVicente is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of The American College of Gastroenterology, The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, The Florida Gastroenterologic Society and the Florida Medical Association. He resides in St. Petersburg and enjoys restoring a classic Ford Mustang, as well as trying new restaurants, going to the movies, and traveling to Spain to visit family and friends.
