About Saritza Mendoza, M.D.
Dr. Saritza Mendoza is of Cuban descent and was raised in Miami. She is fully fluent in Spanish and English. She received her Bachelors in Public Health and Master's in Microbiology from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Mendoza obtained her medical doctorate degree from Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Rochester Hills, Michigan. She then completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Over the many years of training, Dr. Mendoza has been involved in numerous research activities, publications and presented at various GI conferences. Her professional goal is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to all of her patients. Dr. Mendoza is a member of multiple professional organizations including the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, and the Florida Gastroenterology Association. Her personal interests include spending time with her family, exercise, performing arts, outdoor activities like the beach, and keeping up with Formula One Racing. Dr. Mendoza joined Gastro Florida in 2023.
